Cell Phone Family Plans

Choosing A Cell Phone Family Plan

In today’s technology world, it’s necessary for people to have a cell phone and with the size of the family growing as well as growing up, checking out the various cell phone family plans is the wisest thing that one can do. Not only has the world changed, but with the way the economy is going, many people need to tighten their financial belts to make ends meet. You may be able to cut corners in some areas of your life, but to get rid of the cell phone is like cutting off our right arm.

There are a few things that you need to think about to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth. I’m sure that is someone that you speak to on a regular basis that is not happy with their cell phone service for one reason or another, but because of the typical two year contract, they have no choice but to stay with the plan or pay hefty cancellation fees to get out of it.

As a consumer you need to take your time to find the plan that is best for you and your family. This is something that shouldn’t be rushed into. Like I said before, you will be locked into the plan for two years so choose wisely.

Go to the different cell phone outlets. It would be smart to focus on the providers store like AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint or any of the other ones. Going with a cell phone outlet that sell all the providers under one roof may not be the best for getting the best price and plan.

The intenet is a great place to start your search. Each of the service providers have their own website where you can get most of your information. It will save you a lot of time on doing the research as well as driving around town and using up all that gas.

Cell Phone Family Plans – Sprint Nextel

Sprint-Nextel is probably the most recognized wireless company out there in the market. They have been around the longest as well as offering the well known service of walkie-talkie type phone use, also known as “Talk-To-Talk” service. They also spend the most money out there advertising than anyone else in the industry. Every week they have sponsored the NASCAR Cup series for the last five years.

What do they have to offer for cell phone family plans? Quite a bit. They offer everything that the competition has to offer along with their push to talk service, but after that there really isn’t anything else.

What I would consider their basic family plan, they refer to it as the “Talk and Share” plan. The plan has 700 minutes for two phone for $69.99 per month. You can add up to three additional lines for $9.99 each. The good thing about the Sprint-Nextel service is that they consider week night to start at 7:00pm, unlike their competitors which start their week nights at 9:00pm

Other than their talk and share plan, they really don’t offer any family plans, but considering that they are well known, I didn’t want to leave them out of the mix of other wireless service providers. Sprint has been known for being used in the construction and transportation field more than being a family type of phone service. I know many people who use Sprint-Nextel as their personal wireless service, but for the price that they charge it really isn’t cost effective for a family of five to use.

They do offer a few plans that are great for business’ that need to have reliable wireless service, but like I said, not much for the family.

Their website is not the best of the group to navigate around, which makes it harder to find the best program that fits your life. I found myself bouncing back and forth to find the infomation that I wanted.
